The Theme
In order for everyone to know where I'm coming from, and what type of game I intend to run, I'll spell it all out here.
- I intend to run a fun game.
- Corrolary 1: If you're not having fun, or have ideas for how to have more fun, contact me outside of play time (this includes before we start, or after we end) and I'll incorporate it.
- It will be a cinematic game, where the players have characters that will influence global events. But events will take place without them and go on around them. There will be multiple plots, and all the details will confuse you, not the lack thereof.
- Corrolary 2: I won't spring surprises without giving warning, so keep your eyes open.
- Corrolary 3: Dice won't get in the way of action.
- Understaing the plot will hopefully be the primary focus. Living and completing the mission will be nice, but should not be the only thing on your mind. Once the plot is thrust in your face, it will be come a moral question of actions in the face of adversity.
- The mystery and mood will be enhaced by the players actions. Including death.
- Corrolary 4: Don't become overly emotionally invested in the characters. You're making a lot for a reason. Become invested enough to care, and to put up a fight, but infantrymen die.
