The group joins to fight the dark hordes, but in their first fight, Zombies kill their Ranger and Archer. Adrin is struck dead by a punch to the guy that ruptures many of his vital organs in the abdominal cavity (the same way Houdini died. ... Who is Houdini??? This is FANTASY!!!)
Auralla, his Thiramin, undertakes a quest to resurrect her Thiramin. She gets royal scripts from each of the four elf lords on the Island. Then vetures to the tree of life to seek the Spirit of Wisdom. The great Owl tells her the things she needs to know. Then she gains the Staff of Magic. Its powerstoned gems will give those who would cast the spell the necessary Spell Points. She then undertakes the journey into the spirit world to reclaim his soul with her four companions.
